GILGIT:Gilgit-Baltistan s civil administration warned on Saturday to observe a strike against highhandedness of a police officer on a local government official.An assistant superin nike 95 tendent (ASP) allegedly kept a tehsildar in lock up for hours in Chilas town of Diamer district.In a resolution passed by officials following an emergency meeting, the civil admini jordan 1 stration demanded the registration of an FIR against the ASP, as well as his expulsion from the region. We will go on strike if our demands are not met by Monday, the resolution read.ASP Chilas Kamran Amir Khan detained the tehsildar after a disagreement over land demarcated for DIG House.Sources privy to the development told The Express Tribune that ASP wanted the tehsildar to encroach upon the land belonging to the heal jordan mid th department which the latter refused.
