Abbas claimed that they are carrying out random checks at different bus stands including Pirwadhai, Peshawar Road and Grand Trunk Road through special squads. He added that the squads took action on the spot and excess fares were returned to passengers. To a question, he said that a meeting in this regard was arranged and transporters had been directed to prominently display rate lists at the bus and van stands and in the vehicles.
