PESHAWAR:Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) started cleaning of Hazar Khwani Branch Canal at Yakatoot following orders of Peshawar High Court (PHC), said a press statement issued here on Thursday.According to WSSP, waste bins have also been installed at various location kids dunks s from Bairy Bagh to nike air af1 Cemetery to prevent littering and waste dumping in the canal.It is pertinent to mention here that the irrigation department is responsible for the cleaning of the canals but WSSP management has initiated de-silting in accordance with court orders to clean the canal and launch an awareness campaign. ldquo We are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities regarding the cleanliness and sanitation of the city.
