HYDERABAD:A former MPA of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), advocate Poonjo Mal Bheel, driving in a government vehicle allegedly struck three motorcycles in Umerkot district, killing a young man and injuring five others. The incident happened on Kunri road on Friday night.The vehicle bearing registration number GSC-849, which reportedly belongs to Sindh Assembly, hit the motorcylces and fled. A young man, Rajnesh Kumar, who was returning from his birthday party with his friends died on the spot.The injured were referred fro nb m the Umerkot government hospital to brown dunks Hyderabad. ISLAMABAD:The Senate Standing Committee on Planning Development and Special Initiatives was informed on Thursday that the total quantum of committed donors financing for Covid-19 was $483.96 million against the requirement of $595 million indicated in the Pakistan Preparedness Response Plan, reflecting a shortfall of $111.04 million.The standing committee, which met at the Parliament House u newbalance rosa nder the chairmanship of Senator Dr Asad Ashraf, was briefed in detail regarding the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan with complete details of allocated funds, equipment and its utilisation.The meeting was attended by Senators H nike airforce idayatullah, Engr Rukhsana Zuberi, Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Gianchand and senior officers from the Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives alo af1 shadow ng with all concerned.
